About

TacOS is the result of the work done during a tutored project in 2010 by 4th-year-students in computer sciences. The aim was to build an operating system for the Intel x86 architecture.

Since then, the system has been maintained in order to improve its stability and add new features.

In 2012, two groups are working on projects related to TacOS:

Design and develop a graphical interface for the operating system TacOS.
Development of a linux-compatible shell and with the objective to run it on TacOS later.
